So...
You may or may not know that Judith works across a range of styles.
One - the one that started her off on this musical journey, in many ways - is what you might call her 'singer/songwriter' or acoustic bit. Her first album, 'The Day Will Dawn Again' gives you some of that - as do elements of 'moonchild', released in 2005.
Then there's her work with harmony singing, including the songs from around the world that she teaches at her workshops and sings whenever possible with whoever's willing... and the harmony songs she composes. The trio Anam.Cara, in which Judith sings with Angela Reith and Maggie Newlands, has this work at its core.
And she also writes, teaches and performs Jewish music - in Hebrew, Yiddish and English.
Her performances usually include elements of all of the above, plus a helping of jazz, folk, music hall... or whatever seems appropriate.
A Capella music
Below are a selection of Judith's harmony songs,
influenced by her experience with workshop groups, her love
of all kinds of world music and her Jewish background.
You can listen to the songs and download the sheet music
for singing.
NB Judith released her most recent CD, 'Moonchild', in 2005, and this contains a huge amount of harmony singing - press

Here's a bit of feedback about it: Everyone who rides in my car loves your CD ... Marcie was still singing 'Gesher' 3 songs later. And the people from the San Francisco songwriters collective stopped everything and said, Who is THIS? (Marianne)
What a gorgeous CD! ...I adored 'Let Me Be There' !! Wished it was three times as long! I must have played it twenty times or more (Dany)
I came home from a healing walk in the country and put it straight on - and then straight on again for a second time..... I think it's wonderful, and a real credit to you as a composer and singer and person. I'll be taking it with me to France on Monday ... (Maggie)
Well, I think you are onto a winner with this one. It's brilliant. KT needs to look out! (Adele)
This album unfolds like a summer rose, pleasing in bud – on first listening - lovely in bloom, when all its delicate petals release their fragrance. Judith Silver's poetry is moving. She walks in beauty.
I play it a lot in the mornings when I do my yoga. I try to be flat out on the floor (shavassana) by the time Uriel and Gavriel appear. (Bobbie)
