'Just Sing It' article, written by Lisa Woolf, Wimbledon workshop participant
It was under false pretences that I attended my first “Just Sing it” session. I thought

That was two years ago and although I still dread the thought of ever performing in public, I thoroughly enjoy the time spent once a month with the “Just Sing It” group. When we are not dissolving into fits of giggles or chatting over a piece of cake we get down to the serious business of just singing for the pure enjoyment of doing so. Under the guidance of an enormously talented and boundlessly patient teacher, Judith Silver, we sing a wide range of Hebrew, African, American and European songs interspersed with the odd bit of Russian.
Judith guides us through each new song a line at a time until we all finally get the hang of it when she adds another harmony just to keep us on our toes (or on our knees, I'm never quite sure).
There is no pressure to audition, perform, rehearse or have any talent. All that is required is enthusiasm and good humour. We always welcome new voices – especially if it means someone else to sing over my mistakes!
We meet once a month on a Thursday morning (see above for details).
